Platja D’Aro

Discover Platja D’Aro

North of Hotel Barcarola lies the town of Platja D’Aro, which is the most visited place on the Costa Brava for a well-deserved reason.

Nightlife

Platja D’Aro is mainly known for its nightlife. You can party until the early hours at various clubs. The most famous club is called 'Pacha', which is related to the Pacha club in Ibiza. The club is known for its performances by the most famous international artists and DJs. Additionally, the clubs Maddox and Assac Disco are also very well-known. For an affordable night out, Assac Disco is the place to party!

Sights and activities

Besides the nightlife, Platja D’Aro is also known for its sights. One of them is the Cami de Ronda. Cami de Ronda is a walking path that runs along the coast, originally built to spot smugglers at sea. The walking path is about 500 kilometers long! Fortunately, you don't have to walk the entire length; you can take different routes. One thing is certain, the view is beautiful.

You can go in two directions on the Cami de Ronda. If you head towards Mirador de S'Agaró, you will see a beautiful coastline full of villas.

Beaches and water fun

There are beautiful beaches all over Spain, including in Platja D’Aro. The beaches consist of fine gravel, surrounded by beautiful stones, rocks, and rock plateaus. The most famous beach, which is definitely worth a visit, is Platja Gran. The beach is known for its deep clear waters.

If you don't really enjoy a quiet day at the beach but prefer (water) fun, then Waterpark Aquadiver and Pp’s Park are perfect for you. At Waterpark Aquadiver, you can slide down various slides and wild water courses, but you can also enjoy the wave pools. At Pp’s Park, you can't help but scream on the rides. The park is like a fair with various attractions and roller coasters, especially fun to visit at the end of the afternoon.

Shopping

In addition to the sights and water fun, you can also enjoy shopping in Platja D’Aro. The shopping street has various clothing stores, jewelry stores, and accessory stores for all ages and budgets.

In short, Platja D’Aro is a must-visit during your stay at Hotel Barcarola.
