Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is a must-visit during your stay at Hotel Barcarola. The city is sometimes called the capital of Spain due to its worldwide fame.
The city is becoming increasingly popular, partly due to the achievements of its football team. But besides that, Barcelona itself is a magnificent city. There are several famous spots you must visit!
La Ramblas and La Boqueria
One of them is the promenade called La Ramblas. It is a large, unique green street full of beautiful birds and flowers. At one end of the boulevard, you have the harbor, and at the other end, the Plaça de Catalunya. The Plaça de Catalunya is known for its beautiful fountains and statues.
Near the boulevard, there is also La Boqueria, a food market. This is the most famous market in all of Barcelona! They sell the freshest ingredients here, such as meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, and much more.

The other park, Park Güell, is located on a hill in Barcelona. The park also has beautiful gardens designed by Antoni Gaudí. You could say that the park is a unique sight. Besides the beautiful architecture the park offers, there are also various walking paths and viewpoints that offer a stunning view over the city of Barcelona.
The Sagrada Familia church
In addition to the parks, another well-known masterpiece by Antoni Gaudí is also in the center of Barcelona. This is the Sagrada Familia church. As soon as you enter the church, you are overwhelmed by the grandeur and beauty of this church. Definitely worth a visit!
