Cami de Ronda

During your stay at Hotel Barcarola, be sure to explore the Cami de Ronda. This beautiful walking route along the Costa Brava offers a unique experience for nature and history lovers.

The Cami de Ronda was originally built to guard the coastline and prevent smuggling. Today, it is a popular hiking trail that takes you along breathtaking views, picturesque villages, and hidden coves.

The Route of Cami de Ronda

The route stretches from Blanes to Portbou and is approximately 200 kilometers long. You can choose to walk the entire route or just a part of it. One of the most popular sections is the 43-kilometer route from Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Begur. This section can be completed in two to three days and offers a mix of beaches, cliffs, and charming coastal villages.

The entire route takes you through diverse landscapes, from rugged cliffs and dense forests to idyllic beaches and historic villages like Peratallada and Pals. Along your walk on the Cami de Ronda, you will pass some of the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava, such as Platja de Pals and Cala de Cap Roig. These beaches are perfect for a refreshing swim or a relaxing break.

The route also offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the local cuisine and wines, with restaurants and wineries along the way.

Whether you're an experienced hiker or simply looking for a special walk, the Cami de Ronda has something for everyone. Make sure you're well-prepared with enough water, snacks, and appropriate clothing. And don't forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning views!
